Junior Transport Scheduler

We’re looking for an individual who has an interest in the scheduling of bus services as well as the ability to efficiently learn to utilise our scheduling software. You have the chance to make a key difference in the community by ensuring safe and reliable transport services every day!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Learn and utilise transit scheduling software HASTUS to a high level of detail, working actively in the Live HASTUS Database. This includes executing changes to transit data to feed both internal and public facing systems, ensuring up to date information is accessible by depots, drivers and passengers.
- Be willing to learn different components of bus scheduling including network planning, operations management, utilisation of scheduling software modules, and varying associated internal requirements.
- Manipulate and derive transit scheduling information relative to adjacent departments for purposes of planning, route and trip analysis, tenders, submissions and proposals.
- Analyse and assess the performance of actual and scheduled data to evaluate and influence change and promote high quality service delivery.
- Demonstrate an open-minded approach to guide the improvement of existing methodologies and action positive change.
What You’ll Bring:

- Possesses strong levels of logical reasoning.
- A love of IT - you will be learning our scheduling software and using it initially for tasks such as entering timetabling information, creating trips/objects and pulling data for reports
- Willingness to learn MS Excel to an advanced level.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional approach.
- Experience in analysing data and producing meaningful reports highly regarded
- Current Australian working rights
